Portfolio Tracker.

Enter what you own and see what it is worth. The tracker adds up your market value, your gain or loss against what you paid, the dividends your holdings pay each year and where the money is concentrated. Prices come from this site's weekly data, and your holdings never leave your browser.

How the numbers are worked out
FigureHow it is calculated
Market valueshares × the latest price in this site's weekly data
Gain or lossmarket value minus shares × cost per share, only for holdings with a cost entered
Latest dayeach holding's one-day price change at the last data update, applied to its value
Dividends a yearmarket value × trailing twelve-month dividend yield
Yield on costdividends a year ÷ what you paid, for holdings with a cost entered
Equal-sized positions1 ÷ the sum of each weight squared, so ten equal holdings read as 10
  • Several lots of one stock are merged: shares add up and the cost is the share-weighted average of the lots that have one.
  • Sectors are the same groups the stock cards use.
What this can't do
  • It is not live. Prices update with the weekly data refresh, so the value can be days old.
  • Only the stocks tracked here. About 500 US-listed stocks. Funds, ETFs, bonds, crypto and non-US stocks are kept in the list but left out of the totals.
  • No taxes, fees or splits. Gains are before tax and trading costs, and a stock split you have not adjusted for in your shares or cost will distort that holding.
  • It stays on this device. Nothing syncs, so a different browser or cleared site data starts empty. Export a CSV to keep a copy.

Frequently asked questions

Is my portfolio uploaded anywhere?

No. The tracker runs entirely in your browser. Your holdings are saved only in your browser's local storage on your own device, and nothing is sent to a server. Clearing your browser data removes them, so export a CSV if you want a copy.

How current are the prices?

Prices come from this site's weekly data refresh, not a live feed, so the value and the latest day's move are as of the last update. The tracker is for seeing how a portfolio is built, not for trading decisions.

Which stocks can it track?

The roughly 500 US stocks this site tracks. Funds, ETFs, bonds, crypto and other tickers are kept in your list but left out of the totals, and the page names them.

How are the dividends a year worked out?

Each holding's market value multiplied by its trailing twelve-month dividend yield. It is what the stock paid over the past year, not a promise of what it will pay, and it ignores tax.

Can I import from my broker?

Yes, through a file. Export or type your positions as a CSV with the columns ticker, shares and cost per share, then use Import CSV, or paste the lines into the box. The tracker never connects to a brokerage account.

About this free portfolio tracker

Enter your holdings in this free stock portfolio tracker to see market value, gain or loss, dividend income and how concentrated the portfolio is, without an account or a brokerage link. When you want a second opinion on what you hold, run it through the Portfolio Doctor. Check the profit quality of what you hold on the earnings quality page, or see how the dividend payers in it score on dividend safety.

Educational content only, not investment advice. The tracker adds up the numbers you enter at this site's weekly prices; it is not a brokerage statement, ignores taxes, fees and stock splits, and says nothing about whether to hold, buy or sell. Always check a company's own filings and your broker's records.
