What we collect: as little as possible.

No accounts, no server-side storage

There's nothing to sign up for. We don't have a database of visitors, emails, or usage history, because this site doesn't run a backend that could store one: it's a static site that fetches pre-generated data files.

What lives in your browser only

A few features (your watchlist, your portfolio pool selections, your saved calculator inputs) use your browser's own local storage to remember your choices between visits. This data:

• Never leaves your device or gets sent to us
• Is specific to this site's origin, invisible to other websites
• Can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data

Analytics: Google Analytics, and nothing else

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to see which pages get read and how visitors find the site: page views, approximate location (from your IP address, not a precise address), device/browser type, and referring site. It sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to tell returning visitors from new ones. We don't run Meta Pixel, remarketing, ad-network tracking, or any other analytics or advertising service beyond this. A small performance-measurement script (Core Web Vitals) also runs entirely in your browser and currently logs to your own browser console only; it does not transmit anything to us or anyone else.

Third-party resources this site loads

A small number of requests go to services outside our control, each covered by that provider's own privacy policy:

• Google Analytics: loads Google's gtag.js to record the page views and usage described above. See Google's privacy policy for how they handle this data, or use Google's opt-out browser add-on if you'd rather not be counted.
• Google Fonts: typefaces are loaded from Google's font CDN.
• YouTube (nocookie mode): the Ray Dalio video on the homepage only loads YouTube's player if you click to play it, using youtube-nocookie.com specifically to avoid setting tracking cookies until playback actually starts.

Hosting-level logs

Whichever hosting provider serves this site may keep standard server access logs (IP address, request time, user agent) for security and reliability purposes, as essentially every web host does. That's separate from, and in addition to, the Google Analytics tracking described above.

Changes to this policy

If what this site collects ever changes, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will reflect it. See also Terms of Use and Disclosures.
